Day 14 Butterfly

A pretty butterfly. The ones with all the colour were on the top of the tree this one was high enough. My wife found out what kind of lizard I shot the other day he is an
Eastern Water Dragon the easiest to train of all the big lizards and they make great childrens pets :)

  2. The butterfly was in the lower half of the tree but still a good ten foot high so I'm shooting up and away from the sunset and through the trees

  3. Very nice shot with a great background...the butterfly looks maroon to me which I find to be an unusual color

  4. They are a funny colour at the top of tree were some nice bright yellow ones. This also shows that not all of our creatures want to kill you. :)

I love the surreal colours in the background, the compliment the foreground surprisingly well.

  11. A beautiful butterfly shot. Great background and positioning in the frame. Well spotted and well shot.

(A friend of mine had a pet iguana that lived for 11 years. Used to sleep on her pillow while she was out, and crawl into the pillow slip so she never knew where it was. She loved it like mad, and it was really cute, in a very scaly reptilian sort of way...)
